Make Your Mark Conference

The “Make Your Mark Conference” is a collaborative effort from USC, CSUN, Cal Poly Pomona, and LMU to host a student driven conference that can help students who are about to venture into their professional career and serve as their first step into the professional world. Many students, who are interested in fields such as urban studies, urban planning, public policy, or development, dream to make a positive lasting impact to the region and improve upon communities. Yet, although many students dream big, its often very difficult to turn these dreams into reality. Hence, this conference looks to bring forth professionals from all ranges and fields to share their experiences with students who are interested are will soon be apart of this field, in order to better prepare them for the struggles and obstacles and growth that awaits them. As well, the “Make Your Mark Conference” also wants to expose conference to some of the most pressing issues that will shape the future of the Los Angeles and Southern California landscape so that students can be aware of the issues that are on the horizon. As a student driven conference, our goal is to create a conference that will greatly benefit students as they prepare to make their mark upon the Los Angeles region and ready themselves to take on some of the toughest challenges in the country.
